Adults are human being or any other animal that is at the full growth.The biological definition of the term is animals that have reached sexual maturity, and therefore capable of reproducing. Adults are a social concept and also a legal notion within the world of humans. Legally mature means that a person is at the point of maturity and can be defined as an independent, self-sufficient person as well as responsible. Legal adults can also be referred to as a major. The age for achieving legally adulthood is 18 but the definition can vary based on laws, countries and the level of development in psychological terms.

The period of human development that is when mental and physical maturity has been reached. Adulthood usually begins when a person reaches 21, which is the average age for adults. Mid-life, beginning approximately 40 years of age and is followed by the onset of the age of 60 years. The three main stages of adulthood are early adulthood (from mid-30s to late-60s) mid-adulthood between the mid-30s through late-60s, and finally adulthood (mid-60s until the time of death). When we reach early adulthood, our body has reached its full physical maturity. Yet, our size and weight may grow. When we are young the physical capabilities of our bodies are at their highest which includes muscle strength, reaction time sensors, as well as the functioning of our heart.
